How it works
The Aquaport is a modular design that allows the user to attach and detach different parts of the device depending upon the amount the user can pull. Each part can be filled individually, and has a handle attached for easy carrying. The device will be pushed like the Hippo Roller. Due to its modular nature it can be broke into smaller pieces for storage and distribution.
The idea is that the Aquaport will arrive disassembled for easier storage and distribution. In order to use the product, each portlet will have a hole in the center (diameter is only slightly larger than the diameter of the bar) that a bar will go through it. Users can attach as many portlets up to a maximum of about 4 portlets. The bar is then attached to a U-shaped metal frame by applying pressure to spread the two longer sides of the metal frame apart then affix it to the rod attaching the portlet. Each portlet can hold roughly 15 liters of water and includes groves on the side to align the portlets together and serve as a handle when carrying.
The device can then be pushed or pulled around as needed. At the water source or destination, the Aquaport is taken apart by removing the main U-shaped metal handle and the rod then each portlet can be carried to the water source. Due to the location of the mouth or spout and handle it is easy to collect water from a river or stream or tap.
